Double-Shot Injection
Using two sets of plastic molds for individual injection operations, one set is the main unit, and the other is the wrapping mold. The main unit is injected and formed first and then is embedded into the wrapping mold for the 2nd shot to achieve the double-shot effect.
Usually the wrapping materials used are mainly elastic with melting temperatures higher than the main unit materials, so that it will be easier to attach to the main units.
Generally, the combination is PP materials for the main unit, and TPR for wrapping.
